Malaysia has been hitting up the global ranks in a lot of things lately.
To add to the list, the Malaysian passport is now the second most powerful passport in Southeast Asia and ninth most powerful in the world!
According to the Henley Passport Index, the Malaysian passport allows visa-free access to 180 countries. Japan holds the spot of the most powerful passport in the world with access to 189 countries.
Tied for second place is both Singapore and Germany with their passports offering visa-free access to 188 countries. Third place is a six-way tie between; South Korea, Finland, France, Italy, Spain, and Sweden.
Asian nations have been able to secure high scores in recent years thanks to the strong international relations and trade ties.
Meanwhile, Iraq and Afghanistan lie at the 100th place of the Henley Passport Index, with access to only 30 destinations worldwide without visa.
