Ahhh… Don’t we all love a good fairytale love story between a royal and a commoner every once in a while? While Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are busy getting ready for their big day, the rest of us can get in on the wedding vibes by watching these movies. Bring out the popcorn!

#1 The Princess Diaries

Imagine waking up on your 16th birthday to find out you’re next in line to rule your own country (and that your grandmother is Julie Andrews!). This movie made a star out of Anne Hathaway as she went from awkward and unpolished to royal and refined.

A typical Cinderella story—a woman manages to retreat from her evil stepmother for one night and miraculously meets and falls in love with a prince. She leaves her glass slipper behind, and the prince uses it to track her down. Starring Drew Barrymore and Anjelica Huston.

#3 Kate And Leopold

This film is about a duke who travelled through time from 1876 to 2001, and falls in love with a modern-day New Yorker. He eventually gets sent back to his own century, and the female lead follows him. Just as he’s about to marry another woman out of convenience, she shows up. Hugh Jackman and Meg Ryan star in this romantic comedy.

#4 The Prince And Me

This 2004 flick is about an ambitious pre-med university student (played by Julia Stiles), who reluctantly falls in love with the mysterious new student (Heath Ledger). She later finds out that he’s the heir-apparent to the Danish throne. She then finds herself in unchartered territory and desperately tries to win over his family, and his country as a whole.

#5 What A Girl Wants

Amanda Bynes stars in this 2003 film about a teenager who travels to England from New York to meet her father. She finds out that her father (Colin Firth) has inherited an earldom. Plot twist, her father didn’t know he had a teenage daughter. Although she tries to change herself to better carry the family name, she eventually gives up and returns to New York. But her father follows her there, where interesting things happen.
