    • We are a local lifestyle and entertainment platform. Made by Malaysians for Malaysians.
       
  2. What kind of content is on SYOK?
    • Content you like ;). Videos, photos, podcasts, stories, contests, freebies. You name it. Everything got!
       
  3. How do I navigate through SYOK brand?
    • Firstly, you need to decide which language you prefer. We have four choices, English (https://syok.my/en/), Bahasa Melayu (https://syok.my/bm/) Chinese (https://syok.my/cn/), and Tamil (https://syok.my/ta/). Once you’ve chosen your language preference, you can click on the navigation tab on the top left of our website to check out our categories. OR, if you’re bored and just looking for anything interest, just keep scrolling, scrolling.
      BTW, our content differs based on language preference. So, check them all out!
       
  4. Where else can I find SYOK?
    • Besides our very lit website, we’re also on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube! We also got a really awesome app you should definitely check out.
       
  5. How often is SYOK updated?
    • Our writers tap into syok things happening in Malaysia RIGHT NOW! Unless they’re not doing their job, that is! *whips out rotan*
       
  6. How do I send in story tips, videos or photos to be shared on SYOK?
    • We’d love to receive any photos, videos or stories from you! You may kacau our social media manager at any time by DM-ing them on Instagram or Facebook!
       
  7. How do I tell you if I saw a grammatical or factual mistake on SYOK?
    • Our social media manager is basically our mailbox. Feel free to message them on Instagram or Facebook at any time. You can also tell them your problems, they’re really great listeners.
       
  8. I work for a company or PR agency, how to I submit requests or ideas for a product or event to you? 
    • We’re super poor, so if you have any offers please email us at hello@syok.my!

  11. How can I contact you?
  12. What is the minimum connectivity required for the SYOK app? 
    • You would need at least a good 3G mobile data (and available quota) or 1Mbps WiFi connection to properly enjoy the app.
       
  13. Why does the SYOK app turn off suddenly? 
    • The SYOK app may have stopped running because of how your device handle background apps, such as aggressive Power Management & Battery Saver modes. Do check your device settings & allow SYOK to run in the background, so you can layan the app, uninterrupted!
       
  14. Why does the radio stream pause suddenly & sometimes stop? 
    • SYOK’s digital radio feature requires a consistent internet connection to work, as it is a live feed. It may be interrupted if your device loses internet connection or you have a spotty data signal in the area. Do try again when you have better coverage!
       
  15. Why is my Zon Solat timing not accurate? 
    • The SYOK app gets the prayer time information based on zones defined by Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia (JAKIM), and is dependent on the e-Solat (https://www.e-solat.gov.my/) data at that time. You can also manually select the region of your choice in the app for accuracy.
       
  16. Azan on the SYOK app.
    •  Our radio stations on the SYOK app are broadcasting with a 1 to 2 minutes delay which delays the call to prayer (Azan). To get the exact prayer times, you can allow notifications for Zon Solat on the SYOK app or head over to e-Solat (https://www.e-solat.gov.my/) on the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM) website.
