Man United vs Leeds Preview: United Aim To Strengthen UCL Qualification

Man United return to Premier League action after a 24 day break, hosting Leeds at Old Trafford.

United are looking to tighten their grip on a Champions League place as they sit third in the table and seven points clear of sixth.

Michael Carrick’s side are unbeaten in 18 home league games against Leeds, who arrive 15th and just three points above the relegation zone.

United are favourites despite injury and suspension issues, with Leeds struggling away from home and still locked in a survival battle.

Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior admits the club are in a “difficult place” after their heavy 3–nil home defeat to Man City.

The loss leaves Chelsea sixth in the Premier League, with their Champions League qualification hopes fading after five defeats in their last six games.

Rosenior accepted responsibility for the slump and urged his players to rediscover confidence and consistency ahead of a crucial run of matches.

Tottenham boss Roberto de Zerbi says changing the team's mentality is more important to their Premier League survival, compared to an overhaul of their playing style.

He said this after their 1-0 loss to Sunderland, which officially moved them into the relegation zone.

Real Madrid have been handed a scare ahead of their Champions League trip to Bayern Munich, with Kylian Mbappe missing training after needing stitches for a cut above his eye.

The French star is still expected to be fit, but Los Blancos face a huge task after losing the first leg and heading to an in‑form Bayern side in Munich.
