Pearly Tan Pulls Out Of Uber Cup

Malaysia’s Uber Cup badminton campaign has suffered a blow after Pearly Tan withdrew from the squad due to injury.  

The women’s doubles star says it’s due to a back problem that she picked up during last week’s Badminton Asia Championship.  

She says she will now focus on her recovery and vowed to come back even stronger.

Malaysia badminton legend Datuk Seri Lee Chong Wei has paid tribute to Denmark’s Viktor Axelsen following the two-time Olympic champion’s retirement.

Chong Wei hailed Axelsen as a true champion and thanked him for his immense contributions to the sport.

Real Madrid coach Álvaro Arbeloa launched a furious attack on the match officials after his side were knocked out of the Champions League by Bayern Munich.

Arbeloa said the referee “ruined the game” by sending off Eduardo Camavinga for a second booking he felt was unjustified.

The red card proved decisive as Madrid collapsed afterwards, as they conceded two late goals.
