Who is Makcik Kiah, and why is she suddenly famous?
Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin announced the latest Prihatin Rakyat Economic Stimulus Package last Friday (27 March), that will benefit millions of Malaysians during the Movement Control Order (MCO) period.

The PM said that ALL Malaysians will get something from the government to help them through this difficult time - and many Malaysians received the news well and are very happy with the stimulus package.
In announcing the stimulus package, the PM had used ‘Makcik Kiah’ as a reference to illustrate the kind of cash aid that an average Malaysian would receive from the government.
