Through the collaboration, both organisations will leverage their respective strengths, networks and platforms to advance initiatives that benefit communities, with a particular focus on education, inclusion, youth empowerment and sustainable community development.
As Malaysia’s leading integrated content and entertainment company, Astro will utilise its platforms and storytelling capabilities to amplify awareness of ESG-related causes, encourage public engagement and inspire positive action on issues affecting communities.
The partnership will also provide opportunities for students and young people to gain exposure to the media and creative industries through vocational visits and industry engagement programmes. These initiatives aim to help young people explore potential career pathways while developing relevant skills.
Commenting on the partnership, Astro Chief Regulatory & Corporate Affairs Officer Laila Saat said meaningful change happens through strong partnerships and a shared commitment to making a difference.
“By bringing together Rotary Club Kuala Lumpur DiRaja’s strong community network with Astro’s reach and storytelling capabilities, we aim to empower our youth, raise awareness of important social causes and inspire positive action towards a more inclusive, resilient and sustainable Malaysia,” she said.
The collaboration further reinforces Astro’s commitment to driving positive change through its Voice for Good agenda, while creating opportunities for both organisations to contribute towards more inclusive and sustainable communities.
