Time to fill up those back-up water barrels because starting 9am tomorrow, several areas in Selangor will experience temporary water supply disruption!
Last week, SYABAS announced that they'll be shutting down water plants in Petaling, Hulu Langat, Sepang, and Kuala Langat to carry out improvement works–mainly the replacement of old equipment–at the Sungai Semenyih Water Treatment Plant. The repair works will take approximately 12 hours to complete.
However, the supply cut is expected to last between 30 to 72 hours seeing that the recovery period of the water supply will take some time as it depends on both geographical location and altitudes of the affected premises. So, y’all better wake up early tomorrow to shower and then keep as much water as you can for the next few days!
Here’s the full list of the affected areas according to their respective districts:

To help relieve the burden of those affected by the water supply disruption, SYABAS will be setting up local service centres, and static tanks will be placed in critical areas like schools, mosques, apartments and flats. On top of that, 62 water tankers will be deployed to the affected areas, 10 jumbo tankers will be placed at selected locations and 20,000 five-litre drinking water bottles will also be handed out.#WaterCut: Affected areas in Petaling and Sepang. pic.twitter.com/zabpth2iXD
