Have you watched the movie Love, Rosie and thought that this could never happen in real life?

Well, a girl on Twitter just shared a story about how she and her guy-best friend finally realized that they are made for each other!

In the series of tweets, she said that they met when they were only 9 years old. He was always very protective of her and would get into fights with guys who would make fun or tease her.

Then in high school, her guy-best friend opened up and confessed that he had feelings for her but unfortunately she was already with her then-boyfriend. 

They remained good friends, still!

friends. Highschool ended and we went our own ways and faced the ups and downs of life. He flew to Aussie to continue his education and I remained here. We’d occasionally buzz each other and catch up but that was it. Whenever he was back we’d click right back and it never felt -

awkward. Uni ended, we graduated and started working.

He once told me “I really liked you but in that moment I realised you needed me to be a friend more than anything else, so I decided that’s what I would be.” He never went back on that.

They went on with their lives and continued their studies. Her guy-best friend flew all the way to Australia for University, and when University ended they both graduated and started working.

In the end, they met up again during her 25th birthday and 16 years of friendship, and she finally agreed to be his girlfriend! 

He puts in a lot of effort for me even when I’m with other people, he’s genuinely happy for me as long as I’m happy. This crazy, gem of a person puts in a lot of effort to keep me happy. Yesterday I turned 25 & after 16 years of friendship he asked me to be his.
