In this time of uncertainty, it’s important to strengthen the unity we Malaysians have built with one another as a multicultural society that has people of diverse races and ethnicities living side by side in harmony. What better way to do just that by joining in the celebrations of our fellow Muslim friends during this festive season!
In a video shared by Twitter user, DazzyB (@dazereebosuin), a live stream service of a local church in Sabah showed a priest and its church members wishing our fellow Muslim friends by singing a Hari Raya Song!

Before the choir begins, the priest announced “We want to wish a Happy Hari Raya to our Muslim brothers and sisters in Sabah and the rest of Malaysia. We will now sing the Selamat Hari Raya song”.
The video then proceeded with the priest singing joyously while the congregation can be heard joining in, along with the melodious festive music in the background.
DazzyB, who shared the tweet, was touched by the whole performance and wrote, “this happened in Sabah, Roman Catholic’s priest & church members sang Hari Raya song to Muslim friends after today’s Sunday mass ended. can you see how peaceful our state is?”
The tweet has since gone viral with more 5,600 retweets, with most people sharing the same sentiment.

It’s what we do out here in the East side...it’s what we call racial and religious harmony.

Bagus macam ni. Harmoni dan hormat menghormati perayaan masing-masing. This the best!

Some even shared similar experiences they’ve encountered involving different races and ethnicities coming together.
In Miri Sarawak, theres a church and mosque just by the side of each other.

But the Mosque opens up their doors to let Christians park inside while as the Church does the same thing during Friday prayers🌸
This truly shows how harmonious the state Sabah and Sarawak is ❤️
