Health Director-General Datuk Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah became a household name during the MCO, thanks to his smooth handling of the COVID-19 situation in the country.
Many Malaysians have praised him and paid tribute to him in many different ways, with a whole lot of them in various forms of artwork.
This time around, local artist Luqman Hakim gave it a shot, and drew Dr. Noor Hisham’s face on a coffee cup.
Thank you Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah. For your great service to this country. So I draw on starbucks cup as tribute to him. Ahhh I wish I could give to him as a present. The cup features a drawing of Dr. Noor Hisham’s usual facial stance when he addresses the media during his daily COVID-19 press briefings, which appears to have been done using colour pencils.
A photo of the cup was uploaded by a friend of the artist on Twitter last night, with hopes that the post will reach Dr. Noor Hisham himself, and maybe Luqman could even pass the cup to him in person!
Dear @DGHisham- my friend is an autistic artist who drew this on his @StarbucksMY cup as a tribute for your dedication & wishes to pass this to you in-person.

Pls help Luqman get noticed so he can pass this to DGH in-person!#heisLuqmanHakim #luqmanhakimarts pic.twitter.com/8IPHrcfoUg
Considering how our politicians have been frequently noticing Malaysians’ creative works these past few months, it won’t be a surprise if the post does reach Dr. Noor Hisham.
Nice work, Luqman!
