The video, shared by @husnaliangliang on TikTok, shows the group enjoying a meal at a local mamak restaurant in Putrajaya. What truly caught the attention of viewers was how seamlessly they conversed in Malay while describing the dishes they were having with their nasi kandar.
It was later revealed that the journalists were in Putrajaya for an interview with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
What made the moment even more impressive was that all of them spoke with perfect fluency, without any hint of an accent. One of the journalists shared that he had chosen to drink sirap as it reminded him of his time studying at Universiti Putra Malaysia.
"Everyone is speaking the language and ordering Malaysian dishes! The Chinese journalists who speak Malay have arrived in Putrajaya for an interview with the PM! Be careful while eating, don’t get your suits dirty haha!" he said, adding a light-hearted comment to the situation.
