Most Malaysians effortlessly switch between Malay, English, Mandarin, and Tamil, making it a unique cultural experience to witness such linguistic versatility in everyday conversations.
A recent viral video perfectly highlights this talent, where a group of young men surprised an e-hailing driver with their Mandarin skills. The video shows the group inside a vehicle on their way to a destination. One of the young men casually mentions that some of them can speak Mandarin, which instantly excites the driver.
The driver praises them for their fluency, but it’s later revealed that one of the group members doesn’t speak Mandarin, only listening to the conversation.
Ini rupanya bila ada kelebihan boleh cakap mandarin. Dia punya borak memang betul fasih tu.
