Since the movement control order was implemented throughout the country, everyone is encouraged to stay at home. People are working from home, schools and some restaurants will remain closed at this time, and many students have already returned to their respective kampungs.
International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) Student Union recently went viral on Twitter for raising thousands of ringgit to feed stray cats around their campus.
We have currently covered about 90% of the mahallahs (accommodation buildings). The remaining buildings will be settled by tonight. Thank you to our volunteers (42 in total)! https://t.co/RCmXmufzcs pic.twitter.com/0nltWSZOx9

According to Malaysiakini, the IIUM campus in Gombak has over 30,000 students daily and is now left with just 3,500 students after the implementation of the MCO, and cats who relied on the students’ generosity to give them food are now left starving on campus.
IIUM Student Union chief, Amir Nadzim Kaharudin said that they organised a fundraiser with IIUM’s cat lovers club, and managed to raise RM2,500 within a short time - which all went to buying cat food to feed the cats.
Though there are still students on campus who are ‘stranded’, they still managed to get access to food as there are still a few shops that remain open in IIUM throughout this period, however, hundreds of stray cats at the campus are not as lucky.

Infront of my room, 5 - 6 cats already gathering here and run toward my roommate and I everytime we open the door. Some of them, I've never seen before.

Jazakumu Allahu Khairan 🌹 may I know how you are going to distribute this? Because there is a mother and her kitten who always follow me but the mahallah shop is out of tuna so I couldn't feed them.
