Malaysians take their food very seriously!
Recently, Malaysia was ranked #46 in the TasteAtlas World Cuisine Ranking list that was updated for June 2022.

Indonesia was ranked #14 in the world, the Philippines was #19, and Thailand #21 in the world. Surprisingly, our neighbor, Singapore was not even included in the list!
Clearly, this list has enraged many people, especially Malaysians!
A user quoted the tweet and said: “Asian food not dominating the Top 10 implies that this list is objectively wrong.”
But apparently, the bafflement is universal even for non-Asians!

Each country's rating is obtained by the users average rating of the 30 best dishes, beverages and food products in that country. Countries that are not on the list do not have enough items rated. pic.twitter.com/iRunTiy1Oo
According to TasteAtlas, the list was determined by users’ average ratings of the country’s 30 finest dishes and foods. Countries with inadequately scored products were left out of the list.
