The Rose’s Woosung recently made a solo comeback with his album 4444 and celebrated by hosting The Afterparty with Woosung on YouTube Premium. 

In a candid session with fans, Woosung shared some heartfelt advice, encouraging them to appreciate idols as real people with flaws and individuality.

Acknowledging that some fans are initially drawn to an idol’s looks, he reassured them that this was fine but reminded them to avoid placing idols on pedestals. “If you like Jeff because he’s handsome, that’s great,” he said, “but don’t expect him or any of us to be flawless.” He explained that each member has unique values and perspectives, and it’s important for fans not to impose their own expectations on them.

Woosung also spoke out about toxic fandom behaviour, particularly those who feel an intense “ownership” over idols, expecting them to be more than human. He pointed out, “It becomes unhealthy when you feel you know them too well or that you own them… We’re all just humans here, making mistakes and learning as we go. We’re not higher or lesser than anyone else.”
