A woman suffered a misadventure after a rope swing activity at Kuala Kubu Bharu snapped.
According to the New Straits Times, the 33-year-old woman was spending her weekend with her family at the popular tourist destination and even went mountain climbing the day before.

The woman, identified as Siti Halijah Abd Rahim, suffered a spinal fracture, according to her brother Mohamad Yakub.
“On the day of the rope swing activity, she actually wanted to go first, but I told her that I should do it first and wait for her by the river,” he told reporters.
He added: “She was 10 metres up and we had a small chat before she jumped. When I turned to the spot where she was supposed to land, I heard a huge splash in the water.”
A cable failure had led to her fall and she underwent spinal surgery at the Selayang Hospital on Tuesday (29 September).
That rope swing accident @ KKB is horrific. I hope the girl will recover from her spine injuries.

Yakub said that the rope swing operator attended to the family’s needs and took full responsibility for what had happened: “We don’t want to blame the activity operator and the family accepts this as God’s will.”
We’re hoping for your speedy recovery, Siti Halijah!
