Ever since the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, generously belanja-ed fast food to the media personnel camped outside of Istana Negara, many brands and companies have been following His Majesty’s footsteps…that includes one young youtuber….
Recently, a youtuber by the name Isa Isarb received a lot of attention for handing out money, instead of food, beverages, or other items that might directly ease the reporters’ circumstances of being camped outside of the palace grounds to provide coverage on the ongoing political turmoil.

In the video, Isa was first seen holding a box filled with RM 10,000 worth of RM 1 notes. He and his friends later drove to the Istana Negara and started giving out RM 1 each to the media personnel present at the scene. While some did take up on his offer, his stunt was quickly cut short after the police told him off and asked him and his crew to leave the palace grounds.
After driving away from the Istana Negara, disappointed that his plans did not fall through, Isa later noticed that he was being followed. It was later revealed to be a few reporters, that might actually have been shot while he was at Istana Negara, telling him off for handing out money to the media personnel.
As happy as anyone would be to receive free money, many thought Isa’s little prank or challenge was disrespectful to the fellow reporters who are actually paid by their companies to do their job. Many also thought that the money could have been used for a better purpose such as donating to the poor and needy.

Takde masalah pun sebenarnya, yg jadi masalah kau bagi rm1 kononnya nk melawak. Dan content yg mengarut. Kalau kau tukar roti dngn harga yg sama, takde timbul masalah pun.

Wpun 50sen kau agihkan, ianya tetap sensitif bro. Common sense kena ada. Kau kt perkarangan istana negara wpun hanya kat luar pagar. Kalau nak buat content ke apa ke, agihkan la nasi briyani ke, nasi kerabu ke, nasi ayam ke. Ni duit yg kau bagi. Sorg seringgit je pulak tu🤦♂️🤦♂️

When discussing about the purpose of him doing what he did, Isa said that there wasn’t really any particular reason behind it. He was however afraid that his acts would be misconstrued as instigating a political riot, which wasn’t at all his aim.
