Kudos to Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) for giving the homeless community temporary shelters, while Federal Territories Minister, Tan Sri Annuar Musa, for giving them private cubicles, blankets, and even a haircut during this Movement Control Order (MCO) period.
Now, over 800 homeless people who are currently placed in four communities centre around KL will also be offered jobs once the MCO is lifted.

According to Free Malaysia Today, Federal Territories Minister said they will be given training so that they can take up jobs as general workers by DBKL, or production operators in factories.
“After the MCO ends, we do not want them to wander in the streets anymore. We will give them two options, to take up jobs as general workers or production operators. They are expected to start work on May 1, if the MCO does not extend beyond the end of April” he said in a video he shared on Facebook.
They will be paid between RM1,200 and RM1,400.
Annuar Musa has instructed DBKL to come up with the plan so that the homeless community will not have to live on the streets anymore.
