If you’ve gotten your first dose of the AstraZeneca (AZ) vaccine, the MySejahtera app has begun to provide appointment dates for the second dose of the AZ vaccine!
This comes after coordinating minister for the National COVID-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK), Khairy Jamaluddin announced that Malaysia will shorten the dosing interval for the AstraZeneca vaccine from 12 weeks to nine weeks.

According to The Star, Khairy said that the recommendation was made to the Special Committee on COVID-19 Vaccine Supply (JKJAV) by its technical working group.
“Those who participated in the first round of AstraZeneca pot-in programme will be notified of their appointment soon,” he said in a tweet on July 1st.
Based on the recommendation from our Technical Working Group & with greater clarity of the delivery schedule, @JKJAVMY has decided to shorten the dosing interval for AZ from 12 to nine weeks. Those who participated in the first round of AZ will be notified of their 2nd appt soon.

Malaysia has also just received 1 million doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine from the Japanese government on Thursday (July 1st).
