Many were concerned for the wellbeing of the driver in what seem like such a traumatising accident, but the driver’s daughter, Krysstabelle, notified everyone that the driver, who is her mother, was doing alright. According to her tweets, her mother was driving on the road when the car suddenly sunk into the ground.

According to the Kuala Lumpur’s Department of Investigation and Traffic Enforcement, ACP Zulkifli Yahya, the sinkhole was about three-square meters in size.
“Based on our investigations, the victim saw the road she was on nearly collapsing. causing the vehicle to fall into a hole," he said in a statement.
As of today, Astro Radio Traffic said the right lane near the Maharajalela Monorail station nearby Stadium Merdeka was still closed, due to road repair works for the sinkhole.
While this may not be an every-day occurrence, it certainly serves as a reminder to be more vigilant when driving and to report any road damages to the authorities.
Stay safe everyone!
