Wow, our Health Director-general, Datuk Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah was just coined as one of the  “top doctors” in the world, for his efficiency in handling the COVID-19 pandemic in the nation!

China Global TV Network listed Dr. Noor Hisham as one of the three leading doctors in the fight to stop the spread of the COVID-19 virus, alongside America’s Dr. Anthony Fauci and New Zealand’s Ashley Bloomfield.

According to the article, these medical professionals have remained calm and transparent in distributing advice and information with regards to the pandemic hitting their nations, and have also gained a loyal following in the process.

With daily press briefings updating on new cases and lockdown restrictions, coupled with scrutinizing questions by reports,  Dr. Noor Hisham who was appointed as the Health director-general back in 2013 has become the voice of reason and the source of calm and reassurance.

Coined as a “trusted face” and "a bulwark against confusion” by fellow Malaysians, Dr. Noor Hisham has remained consistent in his updates about the virus throughout his daily briefings and even on his social media platforms.

The article noted the hard work and dedication Dr. Noor Hisham has put in ensuring the wellbeing and safety of all Malaysians, with postings of updates on his Twitter and Facebook accounts late into the night and the fact that he has been seen to be growing visibly tired, prompting dozens of messages from his followers for him to get some rest.

While Dr. Noor Hisham’s supporters may not be as forward as Dr. Fauci’s, with fan accounts and labels such as “coronavirus crush” and even a petition with nearly 15,000 signatures to get him voted as People Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive 2020, Dr. Noor Hisham social media pages are followed by thousands of people, all looking up to him and wishing him well.
