Orange.Sphynx, an all-female Malaysian CS:GO team, recently made waves by emerging as one of the victors in the ZOWIE DIVINA Women’s Asia CS:GO Championship 2019 that was held in Shanghai, China. Beating out the tough competition from neighbouring countries Singapore, Indonesia and Brunei, Orange.Sphynx secured the title as the best in ASEAN on June 23.

The team includes the captain, Ramona Azween (GFi#), Shanice Choo Xin Ru (Alaska), Aisya Sabrina Binti Sabri (Argent), Iffah Nazurah Saidi (3ve) and Jasmine Christina Sim Huiyan (Jazminism) and was established in November 2017. The 5-member team is one of 2 teams who qualified to represent Asia at the DreamHack Showdown in Valencia, Spain come July 5 - 7. They will be joined by Chinese team 7P.M. to be one of 8 teams to compete for a slice of the US$100,000 prize pool at the international e-sports tournament.
The ZOWIE DIVINA Women’s Asia CS:GO Championship is an initiative to encourage female representation in the esports arena within Asia, and it also serves as the Asian Qualifier for the DreamHack Showdown in Spain. Another Malaysian team, MBT.Baeters, finished among the Top 6 in the 4-day tournament.
