MAPS instantly became an attraction as it featured a number of international characters from DreamWorks such as Casper the Friendly Ghost, The Croods, Megamind, The Smurfs and Mr. Peabody & Sherman.
However, the RM520 million theme park will be closed from today onwards because the number of visitors have drastically decreased over the years.
Thomas Town & Hello Kitty officially closed down end of last year. Now MAPS Perak is also closing down soon.

According to BERNAMA, a local media outlet reported that Affin Investment had appointed Datuk Duar Tuan Kiat of Messrs Ernst & Young on December 4th as the receiver and manager of property belonging to ATP which is the operator of MAPS.
Let’s just hope it’s only temporary!
