“Anyone found guilty of organising gatherings will be slapped with a compound or face charges in court”, says Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin.
This is the first time such ban is being imposed by the MOH.
The ban includes functions to launch election machinery of the various parties.
You must be wondering why.
Khairy says this (the ban) is needed to reduce the risk of new COVID-19 cases.
His Ministry is concerned that there will be a number of public gatherings taking place before election day.
Polling day is set to take place on November 20th, while nomination day is scheduled to take place on November 8th.
