Is today (4 May) the day that Malaysians have been waiting for? To finally be able to get out of the house and start a normal working routine again?
After staying at home for more than 40 days, we would expect that Malaysians would be jumping for joy that the government is slowly lifting the Movement Control Order (MCO), but that’s just not the case.

Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin announced that the country will be loosening the MCO on Friday (1 May) just a few days after phase 4 started, with some restrictions still in place, and Malaysians are not entirely happy with the idea.
Many have decided to voice their opinions on social media, especially on Twitter, now that the government is loosening the MCO despite the number of positive cases that are slowly rising again.
Have we sufficiently prepared/educated the masses for life after MCO? I don’t think so. This is not the same as imposing SOP on F&B etc. That’s the easy part.

With Raya coming, this could lead to a huge problem.
Once lifted, there’s no going back for another round of MCO.

this conditional mco is too good to be true. Who’s gonna pay the price if the whole thing relapses 😣🥺

Not too happy with the relaxed mco. I think it’s too early to do so

i dont think it wise enough to lift the mco.we still havent go down to 1 digit or 0 cases. it still too soon. i dont think malaysian will honor the social distancing order. even for mco we still have people disobey it. we are not the s.korea we thing we are.

I am sorry I am not agree with you sir. We are at the top notch in breaking the chain of Covid19 so that we can continue our normal life just like before. While we are doing our best in playing our part during MCO, now you’re allowing people to get to work.

All at once? 😰 Hmmm... they should have done one by one so we can see the progression of any new cases. Im worried this will spike up tremendously within a week or so. Regardless, I hope this works out and people don’t take advantage. #NewNormal #MCO #COVID19 #LaborDay

I know the MCO will have to end someday somehow..but idk how to feel about the new order. I just hope we don't end up like Singapore after all the hard work go back to square one. Anyways hopefully the people still follow the rules which I doubt lol

If you start work today, please take care of yourself, especially if you’re using public transportations! Keep your hands clean and practice social distancing, okay?
