If you were caught in standstill traffic along Jalan Tun Razak on Tuesday (September 8th), here’s why.
Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) confirmed that a sinkhole had appeared near the Kampung Pandan roundabout, believed to have been caused by the tunnel-boring works on the MRT Line 2 project.
Traffic had to be diverted along a 100-metre stretch, resulting in a bad gridlock.
This was the work to repair the road as it happened:

The sinkhole has since been patched up, and traffic is back to normal.
Drive safe, guys!
